The increasing power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has now been felt in political warfare as well, with Karnataka’s Bharatiya Janata Party utilizing AI created content to attack the Congress led state government for price hikes.
Leaping on trending topics, the Central Party has employed popular AI created Ghibli style images to mount an attack on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his government.
While demonstrations against price rises gather steam, the BJP social media handles have actively taken out Congress government in their sights. In a recent X post, the party made fun of Siddaramaiah by asking an AI tool to create an image of the Karnataka Chief Minister cradling a vacant coconut shell. The post, titled “AI Prompt: Image of the Karnataka CM along with his contributions to Karnataka,” made a direct hit at the Congress leader, suggesting that he had nothing to show for himself.
The BJP further intensified its digital campaign with meme driven attacks. One such post compared Siddaramaiah to Hollywood actor Vin Diesel, branding him “costly diesel” in a reference to the recent fuel price hikes. The caption read, “One is Fast & Furious; the other is full of scams and injurious.”
The BJP has made another post in X with an Ai generated Aurangzeb with the face of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah Stating that ” Now, Kannadigas have to pay BBMP for parking their vehicle, which they own, in their own house! What’s next? A surcharge on sunlight? Just like Aurangzeb’s Jiziya tax burdened Hindus to fund his empire, Congress’ Price Hike Sultan is looting Kannadigas with parking taxes, garbage taxes, and price hikes on daily essentials like diesel, milk, and electricity all to fund their Halal Budget!
