Modi Lays Out the Tone for Indias Creative Future
Modi laid out the tone for Indias creative path at the launch of WAVES 2025 held at the Jio World Centre in Mumbai.
Prime Minister Modi, during his keynote address, stressed Indias rich storytelling heritage and increasing potential as a global content powerhouse.
Inviting creators worldwide to Create in India Create for the World Modi referred to content creativity and culture as the pillars of the Orange Economy.
He also issued special postage stamps commemorating legends of Indian cinema further celebrating the country’s rich cultural heritage.
The conference saw the participation of over 100 countries and their dignitaries along with popular leaders of media entertainment and technology.
Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen addressed the topic of Indias growing reach by pointing out that there are over 100 million content producers and 500 million OTT viewers in the nation.
He reported the achievement of Adobe tools that are based on responsible usage of technology and pointed out the importance of authenticity of content and rightful credit to creators.
New Tech and International Partnerships Mirror Modi Vision
Richard Kerris and Vishal Dhupar of NVIDIA explained how cutting edge technology is transforming content creation enabling localization and personalization of creative work at scale.
They said that India, which has long exported talent overseas, is now poised to export culture in line with Modi vision of exporting Indian stories to the world.
YouTube CEO Neal Mohan made a huge investment of 850 crore to aid Indias creator economy observing the strong visibility of Indian content globally.
WPP CEO Mark Read unveiled their AI driven video platform observing that intelligent tools are opening up access to creativity. In the meantime UK Secretary of State Lisa Nandy unveiled a new UK India cultural partnership to enhance collaboration in cinema museums and the arts.
From technology to storytelling all speakers at WAVES 2025 repeated Modi vision of establishing India as a world leader in innovation.
